Well........... what to do?

Posted Jun 8th, 2012 at 21:26 by BrianH

I hoped te B230E engine installation would be started today. At midday no sign.

I want end game on this, after a month of pain.

I have checked cylinder pressures ....1 throu... 12.06 10.34 12.06 11.03 bar. Within Volvo specification. Not good but OK. Where is this crankcase pressure comming from. Full check- out of breather system starting with rubber return tube to sump.

This spare B230E has 127k miles but I can see its well carboned up with standard oil.....not fully synthetic run. I am putting in Mobile 1 to clean it out. Sould work.

I have looked at NEW V70's today. This deperATE!!!!! but all friends are asking where is this 1/2 million mile Volvo, so easy to get in and out of......
May be next week again..........

I want my 245 back NOW.

I will rebuild the B200E and have all the replaced bits returned as I usually do. Perhaps then I can put to rest how this engine failed, or did it. I must know...

Nobody in his right mind can resintall a 500k engine.
But I would like to.
