Alternator Adjuster arm two

Posted Jun 8th, 2014 at 19:48 by BrianH

Another arm broken. Why?

Did a detailed search.

Sarah_Dippitty had the same problem in USA.

Solutions...... Bushing with the metal insert.

I checked that the long bolt that supports the alternator and the rubber bushes. All OK.

I think it's the large rubber insert that connects to the block. This has been changed for a much tighter fit rubber bush . Used the vice to insert and checked the tightening, which seemed good, much better.

The long support tighted up better, the adjuster arm too.

All tightened and adjusted now.

See how it goes!!
