2316cc engine is really superb. (1986cc replaced at 495k).
This car was designed for this engine.
Unfortunately, the British Tax System decided to have a tax break at 2000cc soooo... most 245's were 1986cc here in UK.
Pitty.... but...

Get a 740 2.3 engine (230. 165k just run in)... take out the rear distributer and blank off. Swop the intermediate shaft so it drivers the forward distributer, and Bobs your uncle.

I run on Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) and this just is a bit hotter than petrol. (exhaust valve at 305k...not bad) and...
...anyway the exhaust started to be a problem but before the convertion.
Now after Volvo having had two goes with no success (must be a LPG problem breaking the spot welds...dont you love it).

I have just sent a letter to the people who first supplied me with a ss system through the club, back in 1998 with a life time guarantee.
