Post Health check

Posted Mar 12th, 2010 at 05:58 by rolling iron

Bit of a strange old visit to volvo. I was happy immediately afterwards, presuming everything had been fairly straightforward. You may have read in my posts about how it seemed to be a good idea for all concerned.
A couple of points to mention;
On the phone, when I first spoke to them, I was told it would take 2 hours to carry out my free volvo healthcheck.
On arrival, I was told it would take about 45 mins (after the guy had disappeared into an office for a while)
It actually only took 22 mminutes.
Thats quite a leap from 2 hours.
When the guy came back (salesman, not mmechanic, I never met the mechanic), he barely spoke to me. He gave me the keys and read off the result.
The result;
Worn brake pads, reg plate bulb out and 2 split brake flexis.
Only problem is-I've had a look today and theres nothing wrong with it.
Now is that strange or what?
Ps. The reason I got in touch with them in the first place was to find an owers handbook for my car. The guy said that it was still on order and that it would be.......22.
Seriously.
Ebay it is then (I've already let about 15 pass me by thinking volvo would be on the ball)
