Russ is it just a rear conversion you are looking at? If so I have the details of the guy who developed it and sells it. Home later today if that is what you are looking at and can post a link.
One day I will get rid of all of the rust.

Hi Mitch, hope all is well?
Yes guys im in thr market to fit new drums and rear cylinders, the backplates are also ropey.
I saw the kit that Nordicar sell on ebay (122036473728) but at £1200 was a bit pricey.
If there is something similar but at a more reasonable cost then im interested.
I asked Nordicar what the kit comprises of from an availability perspective. It would be good to source replacement components from a source that is relatively common.
However, not surprisingly they didn't tell me. Just that they would have spares for those that bought the kit.
The nordicar kit calipers look suspiciously like mazda mx5 items.
Ive searched for an article where someone has engineered a kit but to no avail.
If you have something Mitch i would be very interested and of course i would post the conversion details on here.

          Hi ya

Or just fit a p1800e rear axle complete with everything , maybe even components would switch over but thats the best way around it on a budget .

          Kind regards

I'm good thanks Russ, just back from holiday to Oz. How are things with you.

Here is the link, doesn't specify P1800 but I suspect it's the same kit. http://www.hukebasart.nl/huke/?Nieuw...ett_en_Amazone

Please PM me with your location and price breakdown for the rear and front disc brake setup. I'm building a PV544 and like most folks, the drum brakes are too far gone. If I'm going to spend money, I want a disc setup with easy to locate parts.

Keep me informed on your cross member rework. I may also be in the market.

I presume you are being sarcastic regarding thr brake /crossmember from Robert!

Robert has been in trouble with the law in the US for taking folks money and not delivering. He's not been on here for a long time.

amazon rear and front brake conversion to discs

                          Hi Volvo Community.
This is my first thread, hopefully someone will find it.

Has there been any further info found or available to replace the drum brakes on a 1962 amazon with disc brakes?

I'm guessing the fronts can be upgraded to the later model amazon discs but do I need to replace the rear axle in order to fit discs?

Any help would be appreciated as I have just entered the world of owning a Volvo amazon..... by the way how do you get under-seal of your skin! ;D

                          Thank you.
