My XC90 is doing this too. ‘07 plate 145K miles.

It almost feels like it’s not going to start. Only does it when cold though. I could switch it straight off and it will start perfectly.

No white smoke from the exhaust either.

If it is the injectors, is it an expensive job to fix?

If you do a leak off test ( plenty of vids on youtube) you will quickly identify if one or more injectors is leaking back too much.

If so, it would be worth trying a good secondhand one ( Euro4 in your case ) and these are usually available for around £25-35 .

Certainly a DIY job to replace .

Hi Johnboyzx10, did replacing the glow plugs solve the slow starting issue for you?
