Goes back anyway you like, make sure you remove the old one and lightly oil both sides of the new one before replacing, I think I paid about £3.50 for a new one, partsmonster or one of those volvo specialists, do a search.

Do you refer to this part? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Volv...BYc1FX&vxp=mtr

What I meant was a this part: https://sc02.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1dRacQ...et-Factory.jpg didn't know exactly which way to put it. (Not exactly like the picture but similar, it's a cone shaped gasket.

If the gasket you have is cone shaped it is not correct. The gasket on mine is just a flat rubber washer, so impossible to fit the wrong way round.

I've got no experience in this part but this cone shaped thing might be an extra cover for the engine oil cap.
I will check it later today and take some pictures so you guys can see.

On a GDi the cone shaped bit fits it nice to the engine cover, but you should still have a flat fiber washer between the engine and the cap.

Aah, didn't realise we were talking about a GDi. No experience of those so, yes, it could well be different to the Volvo engines.

I guess this is the flat fiber washer you're referring to. /Flat fiber washer for oil cap
They're 0.3£ so I'll buy one of those, it's good to replace right?
Also the cone shaped part, do I put it before the black gdi plastic cover or after?
