Simon tired to fix mine, but the unit had already been recoded, due to whoever put its original code on the Volvo database getting two digits back to front :S

Anyone know the above procedure for the 805 unit? Is there a download available for it?

Radio Code

Sorry Alan the code is in a surface mounted Eeprom and would need reading with a reader chip no.3132 which is a 24C01 so there is no calc Cheers Bill

Thanks BillG. I actually understood that right up to the eeprom bit. :nah::notworthy:

Got the code from Taggarts Volvo in Glasgow over the phone this afternoon. Took all of 2 minutes to get the code and 2 hours for my display to reset to allow me to enter it.

If the display is saying OFF, you must leave the set switched on, i.e key in the ignition for 30 minutes to 2 hours before CODE reappears on it. Then enter code and sound returneth. All praise The Mighty Taggarts.:thumbs_up::thumbs_up:

Just wanted to say thanks to Rufe for getting my code but as usually nothing is easy for me.
sc-801
model3533725
(D.M25/6/85-27/9/87)
NO2/02631/15602

9506 on top but not the code,4969 I am yet to try but it was a small code on a sticker which may have nothing to do with the code.

Thanks again to Rufe for my service history and keep up the good work.
Much appreciated.

Another thank you for Rufe here as well.

Provided the code for my son-in-laws S40 after the battery had been disconnected at a previous service (independant garage). My daughter and son-in-law had taken to 'stealing' my wife's Focus or my T4 'because they've got music' but they've got no excuse now!

They've got a 3.5hr drive to do Friday so were seriously happy last night when I gave them a code that worked.

Once again - many thanks Simon

There is a small software that provides the 4-digit code if you can input the orientation of the diodes in the back of the CR-906. Real simple to operate but you must remove the top cover of the radio to check the diodes.

I can send it to you if you want. Email add please.
