Is it me or is it strange that the installer hasn't bothered to try and defend this installation

No word or comment from Dai on this thread Yet??? It would only be polite for you to put across your side of the story Dai? This poor guy shouldn't be out of pocket either rectifying you continuous ongoing BLUNDERS in the world of LPG installs?? Still dishing out 'Certificates' are we? These wouldn't be Certificates for an LPG body that no longer exists would it?

There is an air of deja vu here and a bit of a recurring theme when it comes to these 'ClassicSwede' LPG installs??

I don't often speak out about people but in this LPG situation where things are SO SO DANGEROUS and you are playing with peoples lives with dodgy installs it is absolute inexcusable! You do yourself no favours.

dont think it would be possible to defend that insulation apart from the fact that he seems to still be able to make money from this type of work?, all i can say is to take lyons advice.

learn from this and next time you want to spend a lot of money ask advice and be sure to take any offered by either clan or andy both are well know on the forum and give freely sound advice that in this case would not only have saved £1000s by the time all the ferry costs and redeamal work is done but saves a lot of stress.

I'm still waiting on parts in the post from Dai. I'm to take the car to a garage over here and have all the issues dealt with. It's assumed that I send the bill to Dai, but he's not actually outright said that (!).... this whole situation has depressed me. I spent a lot of money that I don't have on that conversion.
I'm very concerned about this certificate though, so I'd appreciate more on that please?

First question is why didn't Dai give you a Certificate at the time you picked the car up?

Second question is why didn't Dai tell you about the online register you should now be a member of with your new LPG conversion?

If you click on the first link on post #4 of this thread by Thanatos and then read from Page 8 of that link onwards then I'm sure you'll find it a very interesting and well worth while read. Page 9 there is an example of the Certificates Dai was giving out last year with his installs and signing HIMSELF! He wasn't part of the relevant LPG group and certainly didn't abide by their code of practice. It is rather impossible to follow a code of practice when the body ceased to exist some 4 years earlier (that's probably 5 years now).

When was Dai sending you the parts as it really shouldn't take to long oh i forgot 1/2 the parts you can't get anymore if there not up to the same standard that was on the vehicle don't be afraid to go back and get better parts and compensation as you rightly deserve.

I know a lot on here wouldn't put anything that looked like junk onto there motors as like most enthusiasts the cars are there baby's.

No need to reply. I'm sure Rob will update the thread as things get sorted out.
I've been in communication with Rob since he contacted me. At the moment the LPG system does not look to have been damaged but the K jet air flow meter plate was damaged and the cone filter blown off. The air flow plate was posted right away and a new filter ordered from ebay however the seller/postman has let us down on delivery.
It is now running better (but still stalling) since Rob removed the rag that had been stuffed into the air intake by the garage that refitted the bellows.

The biggest concern is the smell of gas that must be investigated asap.

Due to distance returning to have the work done is not a practical option but would have been best as it is very difficult to find anyone that understands the K jet system.

Why, do you??

Not being funny but surely this is a case of 'this shouldn't happen'?

Yes I would fully agree that problems can happen but these sort of problems on such a new install??? Come on.

How does your customer stand in being registered on the LPG Register and Certificate side of things??

I do commend you this time round in getting things sorted out. I hope it concludes with a happy resolution.

All the best.
