A guy in the UK has been running a B14 with a turbo (so lots of torque) and latterly Webers in a 66, so it can take a fair bit. I suspect the belts will also slip eventually, but you can certainly go fairly quickly in something as light as a 66!

I remember seeing a V6 363 prototype probably at the factory but cannot remember if it was manual or CVT

If I had endless space, I'd build a 363CS replica!

No doubt, but I like the idea of the authenticity. The PRV can make some decent power if breathed on, even if they're dismal in standard trim (especially the early ones)!

As for how much power the Variomatic can handle I'm currently finding out with my 66, it's the Gordini engined one that was turbocharged in 2021. It is now normally aspirated again, ported Gordini head, 1690cc based on a B14, Emerald engine management and independent throttle bodies. It's about 130hp at 6000 rpm and I'm experimenting with a nitrous oxide kit on it this year. Attachment 147291 Attachment 147292 Attachment 147293 |

I've seen a few videos of your 66 - very impressive!
