I have an 850r with no radio code but if i turn it off and hold down the last preset radio station button (6 i think) and still holding this button down turn the radio back on it will override the code. Only stays on for about ten minutes though. But it is better than silence!!

I'm new to this Volvo malarky! I've just bought an S70 T5 CD (Ironic considering the cd player does not work). Now someone has written V70 on the top of it so I'm assuming it's not the standard one. I also don't have a clue which is the serial number so I'll write everything down!

It is an 805
8052G34W069
V00690V1589042C

And someone has written down 2454133.

Registration number is P28xxxS if it helps at all.

I expect it is a different unit than origionally fitted so it is unlikely the plate will be of assistance....It is not advisable to post VIN information into the public domain....

Thanks Rufe code sent back to me straight away and bingo radio now working
all ive got to do is free the trapped C.D !!!!!

AlexMcMann Jun 16th, 2010 03:39

Also giving thanks to Rufe for getting me a code! Now though, again being new to the Volvo scene (and the fact that I'm an idiot)... How the hell do I get to the point of putting the code in? Granted I've not left it on for two hours, but is that really the way of doing it? I left it an hour and a half and still nothing, and time constraints mean that leaving it two hours isn't always the easiest thing to do!

Hello, i have bought volvo s40 (1996) and my radio is asking me for a code. Previuos car user didn't give me a card with radio code. I attached photo of my radio back with serial numbers:
http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/6...489copy.th.jpg

Volvo 30850648
I tried decode code using software by diodes, but i didn't find line of diodes inside radio board of elemetns.
Please, help me to get the code

paintguy Jul 6th, 2010 21:54

I'd just like to say a big thanks to Rufe (Simon).

It seems my car has had a replacement radio unit so the initial database code didn't work, but after supplying the serial number etc Simon manages to track another code down and we had success.

Thanks again,

Andy.

celiomba Jul 15th, 2010 12:11

Rufe, help us :)

Rufe Jul 17th, 2010 18:39

Hello,

I don't mind helping anyone, but please contact me directly, this thread is not the place to find me.

All requests are advised to be sent through my parts request link: http://www.frfvolvo.co.uk/mo-volvo-parts.asp

If its the original unit I need your Registration or VIN, if its been changed from another car I may need the serial number and model of the unit.

I am off for 2 weeks starting yesterday, so now cant help anyone until my return I am afraid.

:)

SC-802 Radio / Cassette Player

Another thank you to Rufe for getting my code.

I can't find a downloadable manual for this particular model, but from another manual I've worked out what most of the buttons do. One has me foxed, though. The top right hand button is marked RND and I think that if you have the disc player (I don't) pressing this button will play a random track. Beside the button, however, is the legend "Reg" so it presumably has another function. Anyone know what it is or, alternatively, know of a manual download?

Sc901

Thanks to Rufe at FRF Volvo

I sent details late last night and got an early morning rely with the code - which works perfectly - and a parts order for the missing CD magazine which was much cheaer than anywhere else I had found on the interweb.

Many many thanks from me.

If possible I need a code for my cr-906 radio. I tried to contact Rufe via private message but it said I can only send messages to admins until I have 30 posts. So I decided to post here. Please answer via private message.

My serial number is V09460 F0201063 (or 3533782-1, I'm not sure which one is needed)

Help needed

Dear Rufos

I Hope you can help me, I’m from Portugal, so sorry about my English.
I’m going to work to Angola – Africa next month, and to help me I send by ship my old Volvo.
The trip to Angola took 35 days more or less, and they unplugged the cables of the battery, now I don’t have radio, because ask me the code, and I don’t know the code.
Today I talk with all the official dealers of Volvo in Portugal asking for help, and the only thing they say to me was, WE NEED THE CAR HERE or nothing.
My good, the car is in Angola 10.000 Kms away, they don’t care.
Can you please give me some help with the code, I saw in the forum that you possible can arrange the code, so please, I will be very grateful to you
RADIO CR-906
SERIAL IS: V09060F3221075
OTHER NUMBER: VOLVO 3533784-1
I hope you can help, and have time to do so.
Best Regards

darren_eire Oct 11th, 2010 22:14

Hi there,
Just new on the site, radio code that i got with the car didnt work, said off and nothing is displaying now, can anyone help,
its a radio from a 1995 850 T5 estate,
The S/N :
AL3725S1239895
B51239895b

Thanks in advance!

bobbych Oct 11th, 2010 22:33

if you have entered the code 3 times incorrect, it will not be locked.

However, it should say OFF when you turn it on, every time, then go off, so is that what you mean?

if so, then you need to get the correct code from a dealer, or from RUFE here, and then you need to apply power to the unit for at least 2 hours!

That will reset the unit, and allow you to have another 3 attempts

you have two options, leave the car running for 2 hours, stood or driving, or remove the stereo and connect it to a 12v supply for 2 hours, but you will need the correct cable for that.

darren_eire Oct 11th, 2010 22:36

Ah i see, thanks for the quick reply!
I will ask RUFE can he get me the code :)
Thanks alot!!
