Well this is one Scotsman that the location doesn't appeal to. Bit too far for me but good idea. Tell you what, I'll go if Tem does.

how far south do you think you'd be prepared to come? you never know, those who don't like travelling too far might be prepared to go at least a little bit north of watford. if not, i guess this will end up having to be a south only meet.

Ha ha maybe we could car share, just bung all of us kilties together!!

I'd vote for Northumberland, North Yorkshire, Scotland, The Lake District or North Wales. Maybe we should have a North and South meet.

Works for me to, although (assuming a South only get together) a bit of a trek to any of the London contingent I suppose.

fine by me. shall we set a date?

bob, is the bridge tavern on east st still a decent enough location:

i remember parking on gunwharf road and walking down there:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&...180.01,,0,-4.3

since this is your neck of the woods, perhaps you know of somewhere more suitable?

Hi darb

Haven't been in there in a while. can go and have alook in one night to sound it out tho. I went to a friends 50th a while back and the food was very nice.

Parking can be a problem, and if anyone is serious about the Southsea area, I'll see what else there is.

There is a great pub in Petersfield called "The Seven Stars", they have plenty of room at the front for parking, in fact they have had classic car rally's there.

ps

darb I didn't reply to your PM as for some reason I lost it after reading. :o

i think southsea is the most popular suggestion so far... and with petersfield being even closer to most, i'm sure that will be popular. checked it out on the interweb. it looks lovely and a perfect place to meet!
