Sadly it didn't entirely fix the issue as there is now a code 1-5-2 for the RHS. Confirmed with a multimeter. I think I was over excited and didn't read the instructions for the code reader properly. Pressing the button once only returns the first code logged.

Now to do it all again!

Edit: removing the disc also highlighted I'm missing the backing plate. My caliper is in poor condition too, one slider seized and the piston rubber is on its last legs.

Worth replacing the whole lot while you are there

Yes, I'll be swapping the caliper over for a spare I have in good condition. I will come back to the brake shield later on, the priority is getting it MOT'd.

Well you got one side done now the other side should go better not a nice job in this weather unless you're in a nice warm building .my work is done outside on the drive in warmer weather hopefully .

Yes I have replaced both front dust guards. I used a small coal chizel to start the bolts off as I had no gas blow lamp .but got there in the end also had to get a garage to replace some of copper brake line it was totally sized at the brake hose joint

Glorious weather here today. 14 degrees and sunshine. Plenty for me.

Blow lamp was a vital tool today. Lots of fittings seized. I managed to loosen the dust shield bolts to save myself some effort next time.

A job well done so you rela Ed the front suspension strut too??

Second sensor defeated and the code blinks 1-1-1 so all good. Just need to charge the battery and take it for a test drive. Whilst drifting the old sensor out I accidentally flattened one tooth a little, hopefully the signal isn't too badly interrupted.

Edit: Hmmm, as soon as I cycled the ignition the code returned.

1-5-2 Right front wheel sensor: open circuit or short-circuit to battery voltage.

No resistance reading with the multimeter. Either dead out of the box or I broke it whilst fitting.

Not yet. The replacement sensor came yesterday, I plugged it in without fitting and the light went out. The weathers good tomorrow and I've got the day off so hopefully I'll get it done.
