I may have worded it poorly. I didn't avoid the C70 because I thought a 5-cyl would screw its clutch bearing faster. I avoided the x60/x70 platform as the clutch is a known weak point on the entire platform. Although now I think of it, its the slave cylinder not the bearing that goes first, at horrendous expense

lol. I am actually not to keen on them, because I know they are aftermarket, but they were the reason SWMBO decided that this was the car we were going to buy 6 years ago....:). The only compromise was to disconnect them, as they kept blowing the fuses, but under no circumstances am I allowed to remove them.... lol

It's a C70 T5. Once I got used to it I started averaging 23.9 to the gallon. It's a wonderful car. It's quick and does 130 mph on the M40 with no issues. Only problem is it has the passenger window a bit lower than it should be so if it rains in the wrong direction I am screwed. And I have to drive with the window down a bit to cancel out the wind noise so...started smoking again. Costs me almost as much as the petrol:)
