How old are you and what Volvo do you drive?

Thought this would be a good thread to start. I am 30 years old and have purchased my first Volvo, XC70 D5 lux and love it.

So the purpose of the thread is getting peoples age and what model of Volvo you all drive. Thanks

I am 48 and do not currently own Volvo, but have owned 3 245 , an 850t5 and a gul 850 t5r manual, 760gle, 343, Amazon wagon, 164, s80d5 and 940 2.3lpt. I think that's all but would have to check. They get to you, as I always say, yer never far from yer next Volvo....

I am now 23 and I drive a V50, the latest in a long list of Volvo’s starting when I was 19 with a convertible C70 :D

It will be interesting to see if there is a correlation between owner's age and model driven.

For the record, I'm 68 and drive a 2000 V70 Auto., although it was not my first choice.

Having owned a long line of RWD Volvos since 1984, culminating in the long term ownership of a 745, I would much rather it was a 965 or V90.

We also own two Saabs; a 9 - 3 convertible, which was a default purchase because we could not find a nice C70; and also a 9000 'Griffin', which replaced my wife's long term ownership 744 when she could not find a nice 964 to do so.

What does that say about us?

I’m now 25. Got my first Volvo at 20 which was an S40 (first shape.) Got an s60 D5 after that. I’m now volvoless as a company van has taken its place :( I still work on my dads v70s tho the latest been a v70 D5 R design. Might ditch the van and buy another one but financially it doesn’t make sense

25, I've got an 854 T5, C70 T5 and a 945 Turbo.

LHD rust free 740 estate, 3 x V90's, a pile of 2.3 engines including a brand new head and block for a turbo charging project when I find a mint LHD 740 saloon. Classic cars are like beautiful mature women, they look great until you start poking about. I am the wrong side of 60.

The awkward age of 54.
62 plate XC60 since July 2016. 58 plate V70 2.4 immediately prior to that and a 940 and two 340's going back in time.
My sons first car was a 340, which was older than him when we bought it.

My 1993 940 was a company car and I loved it. Did 140k in 4 years in it and was very reluctant to give it up. Never had a car with seats as comfortable before or since.

62 and current Volvo's as per my signature.

Had a 145S at the age of 18 and have been a continuous Volvo owner ever since. I cannot imagine life without a Volvo.

Exactly my sentiments... Got a V70 (after my 940 was trashed by a BMW) but would prefer a late 965 or V90...

Oh, I am 46.

79 and drive a 98 V90, as well as an S type Jag and from February I will be lumbered with a 2.7 litre diesel Jeep.

35 and for the last 5 years I've had a 2009 V70 D5.

Before that was a 2001 1.8 V40 and 1999 1.6 V40

Like me, Saab and Volvo have been my motoring favourites over years. I had a GM900 and a 9000 and liked neither as much as old classic Saabs. Times change though, and I'm driving a Saab again.

but my dad always loved Volvos as well, his stable was

960GLT Estate with every bell whistle & toy going, he loved that car just too thirsty to run around when he retired.

I'm 48 and have been in the Volvo fold for nearly 5 years now. On my 2nd C70!

I’m 50 and have had my first Volvo, a My17 XC-60 for just under a week. Loving it.

im 38 and drive a D6 Hybrid, love the car.

70 and drive a 2011 C70, when it's going, that is.

As have others, I previously had a Saab 93 vert.

Started with a 940 about 16 years ago, unfortunately it had an unbalanced propshaft for most of it's life and by the time I had figured it out (there were several old receipts in the service history from the Volvo dealership to investigate the vibrations) there was damage to the back end of the gearbox, I sometimes wish I had kept it and sorted it. Two 850s followed in fairly quick succession, the first was bought with the heart not the head, it was beautiful car but the engine was worn out, the second 850 was a very tatty stopgap until I found the current V70 which I've had for about 8 years.

I'm on my 2nd Volvo, 1st 2015 XC60 D5 se lux nav, awd Auto Polestar 230bhp .
Now as signature.

On my third Volvo, a 940 saloon and now two V70 Tdi's and I'm only 74.

I'm 35 and have a 04 xc90 d5, one in a long list that started at 19 with a 98 s40 2.0t

I'm 44 and have an s60r . I've owned this for 7 years now and before that I owned a v70 tdi cd auto for 10 years. Fantastic car ! My parents have owned various volvos over the years.
A 145, , 245 ,740 ,760 ,740 turbo and my currently owns an 855 glt. She adores it .

A[January 2000]P1 V70 2.4petrol manual 140 Classic,bought because it had 10mths m.o.t. on it and was only £50.Other car at present is a{March 2000]face lift Vauxhall Omega 3.0L V6 auto Elite.Had both a 144 and a 245[both autos]back in the '80's.I'm 64 in just over a weeks time.

Bought my first Amazon when I was 28 and now on wrong side of 70. Then a 144E, 264GLE, S80 2.9, S60 D5(163), 960,940GLE, 940, S80 D5 (4 years now and love it), V70. Now have my 2nd Amazon, C70 T5 GT and my S80.
Had a Volvo since 1971 but also had the Audi's, BMW, VW's, 24V Senator - great car, but always went back to Volvo.

Love omegas, and big vauxhalls in general. Had a 66 viscount 3.3 with a two speed powerglide auto box, huge...a senator 3.0, couple of carltons, a calibrate with the v6 and a brace of manual omega 2.5 v6, underrated big motors.

Had 2 S60 D5's, 2005 and 2007, owned both around 5 years, love the 5 pot engines 👍

I imagine my next one will be full electric if it's something i can afford, or i will sadly be moving away from Volvo and into a used tesla.

52 and have a 2009 V70 2.4D SE Lux Geartronic. 2nd Volvo after a long line of SAABs. One unfortunate and with hind sight foolish diversion into Audi.

I'm 26 and am on my fourth Volvo. Started with an S70, then two Mk1 S40's and now I just have a 944 HPT.

To be honest I think I've lost count. I'm 66 just parted with my beloved V70R remapped estate. I love seeing M3' & M5' getting smaller in the rear view...but still retain a couple the 2.4T being quite nippy just shy of the T5 performance. Lol forgot to put the T5 in my sig...getting old...

I am 43 and have my old 1987 780 since 2009 which is my pride and joy and only come out when the sun shines. Wife has a 2016 XC60 T5. For everyday car a drive a ”german swede” as I like to call an Audi. Understated and bold. Although a 2017 S6 so no complaints. Also have a 2015 Mustang GT which is my toy :D

I am 52 and on my second Volvo. First 59 reg xc90 and now XC70 13 reg which I think is the Best car I have owned.
Previous cars have been VW Landrover seat.
