amazon estate parting out

I need to reduce the number of cars I have so this amazon estate is going to have to be stripped for spares.

The picture is very poor due to the light.

I only got this car for spares in but was goingto keep it complete for ease of finding things.

Anything you need let me know and I will see if I have it.

Interested in the following if they're in good condition:
  • Boot floor carpet
  • Rear wheel arch trim (vinyl & carpet) panels, especially if the main vinyl section is red - is this the estate you mentioned before?)
  • Tool kit straps in spare wheel well
  • Spare wheel well lid strap
  • Plastic clip on the footwell side that supports the parcel shelf
Many thanks!

I'll have a look and see what of it is any good. It is not the other car. I've decided that I will not be breaking that one. I want to try and sell it to Plas Newydd as that is where it originated from.

The one that is being broken is the spares car for that and the ruddspeed estate my dad has. (my old man could be willing to part with that estate project if anyone is interested).

I must admit that I was surprised given its history that you were thinking of breaking it!

I recently found an original advert for the Ruddspeed estates - sadly it didn't give any tech details other than 'a top speed of over 100mph'. Do you know what modifications Rudds had made to it?

classicswede May 5th, 2009 21:57

There is nothing that I can see that has been changed on the car. In all fairness it would not take much at all to get one to do over 100 MPH. Just changing the exhust should do that.

Hi Dai,

Any news on those parts? :)

Btw, also after a map / under dash light switch.

Cheers,

Paul

I've got the parcel shelf bracket and I will also have one of the light switches as well. The back of the estate is full up with amazon bits that I've not yet had time to clear out. As soon as I do I'll let you know.

Cheers

Dai

...any thought on how much you want for the Ruddspeed Estate?

Do you have any photos you could email to me?

Ruddspeed Estate

Surely the Ruddspeed would have had the usual four-branch exhaust manifold. That at least would be obvious at a glance?

classicswede Sep 27th, 2009 21:31

Nope,

a Ruddspeed conversion could anything from a skimmed head to a full works porting, cam carbs and exhaust with suspensions mods. I suspect this one would have been quite basic.

Even so as a genuine ruddspeed car there is no reason why the addition parts could not be fitted keeping with the ruddspeed theam.
