XC40 2021 updates

Hi All - new member here :)

I've read that the following updates are coming to the XC40 in 2021:

All XC40 models now get LED front fog lights, adaptive LED headlights, an auto-dimming side mirrors, two USB-C ports in the rear passenger area, leather upholstery, rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert as standard

I've spoken to my local dealer and he says the blind-spot monitoring is part of an additional pack. Does anyone know if the updates i've read about are not available in the UK and only apply to the US?

Here is the link that i found:

cheers

I’ve just ordered a MY21 XC40 for March delivery..........I have the brochure sent to me by the dealer (not sure if its available online) and can confirm that in the UK both blind spot monitoring and cross traffic alert are options even on the Inscription Pro model I’ve ordered......I can post up a link to the MY21 brochure / options / price list if people would fund it useful but I would have thought it should be available on the Volvo website ?

I assume by 2021 changes you mean MY22. These haven't been published yet but the article you link to appears to be talking about the US spec and the sort of changes mentioned are likely to be entirely irrelevant to the MY22 UK spec.

The US Volvos have always specced differently because it's a very different market. For example, they mostly buy new cars from stock rather than speccing from the factory so the options and packs etc reflect this. Also the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration only commenced legalising adaptive headlights in 2018, and I'm pretty sure that processes was mooted to take at least two years.
