rear door not closing properly
 

Hi Folks

When closing the O/S rear door it springs back to the half/lock position most times when closing normally to get door to close on full lock it takes a gentle close this is not too great a problem till the door springs to the half lock while driving (only noticed by the warning lights) I've sprayed WD40 but it's still doing it Is this a known fault and is it an easy fix before I delve into it further any advice will be a help

Have a look at the catch on the c post, has it moved? (If it has moved you might see an outline of the catch where it was originally) They’re easy to adjust by loosening the two torx screws. Failing that test the lock in the door with the door open, use a screw driver to mimic the door shutting and see if it is all working properly. Lastly is the lock secured properly in the door? Check the torx screws.
