WANTED:Steering rack for S60D5 2005 Volvo
 

Hi there, I’m trying to get a 2nd hand steering rack for my 2005 S60D5 Volvo, I’m trying to get the part number but finding it difficult (Volvo won’t give me the parts no!)as it needs to be the correct part as I’m told there are two or three different racks for this model Volvo.The mechanic reckons it’s a screw in steering rack (passenger side & middle)& he can’t see a sensor on the old one as it’s still on the car but they can’t have the car on the ramp while I’m waiting for the replacement steering rack!. Any info would be most appreciated on the correct steering rack for this Volvo, or if you have a second hand one in good condition I would be interested. I think, now this is only think as I have issues with mine too, there is "with speed sensing" and without, just 2 types from what I've seen in Vida, but then that's for mine, V70 56 plate (MY07), I am sure mine is with the speed sensor or whatever its called, you need to ascertain if yours is or not, look down the back, I am sure you can tell which is which, perhaps
