2017 XC90 - Drivers side wing mirror question

Hello all

Just getting used to my new 2017 XC90 and noticed that when the car is locked, that the drivers side door mirror does not retract to the same position as the passenger side mirror.

The passenger side folds pretty much flat to the glass but the drivers side doesn't quite get there.

I have attempted to persuade it gently when closing it but I am not brave enough to give it a good shove.

Is this normal? I can't think of a good reason as to why it isn't the same on both sides.

Thanks in advance

James

The passenger side maybe holding too far rather than the drivers side not folding enough.

I agree with nu11eaf. I wouldn’t try to persuade the drivers side to fold flatter. It might be that the passenger side has taken a knock at some point, as I believe the bit of plastic(?) inside the mirror mechanism that stops it folding too flat can get broken off if it takes a hard enough knock.

Thanks guys

Not really a major issue, maybe something to mention when it next goes in to Volvo for a service.
