selling my 95 440li
 

hi, my 440 li has to go ! im losing my garage. ok . its a aug 95 n plate 1.6 petrol with only 39,069 miles.in blue/green.excellent runner. selling as spares/repairs/project. due to been off the road 12 months.so not legal to drive away. ok. ..new front suspension springs, all filters plugs, & oil, rear brake cylinders. n/s front to rear brake pipe, replacement brake master cylinder. it has good tyres on 14" 7 spoke alloys, has rear spoiler & black tinted side windows. otherwise base model li with black bumpers, power steering, headlight wash/wipe. wheel arches ok , never been welded underneath. few small marks.drivers seat has a wear hole in side bolster, & needs stitching on seat pad. just a few jobs here & there. try to find 1 in a scrappy ( i went to malton for parts ) looking for £150. i spent that recently !. will post photos when i find camera.thanks for reading. steve. more info ? steve.w50@live.co.uk

Hi Steve, just read your post. Sorry to read you need to sell your car. There is currently a revival in pre "sensor" loaded cars. If your car is straight and has
current MOT you should get more than what you are asking! Are you sure you want to sell? Not many 400 series left! Good luck with sale Jane

Perfectly legal to drive straight to pre boked mot anywhere.
Unless you know its danerous of course.

hi, thank you for your reply, i know its legal to drive to a test station without tax or test as long as car is pre booked in. also must be insured.which its not. ( test station is end of my road, 2 mins away ) if i put a test on it, then it would be at least double the price as its got service history & only 39,069 miles.its now on my drive so no hurry to sell now. hi, well ive had my 440 up for sale for nearly a month now. no interest at all.could not post any photos.,a few small jobs to do, never had a problem in 5 years .( read original post ).i thought people wanted these cars ? drove it yesterday, out & back in the drive. gonna phone a few scrappys up here on tyneside, see what they offer.its a shame as its a nice car. . best wishes, steve.

hi, guys. got so fed up with timewasters,( mostly asking if the 440 had a m.o.t) i scrapped it for £ 80 !on monday. shame as the guy drove it away. anyone looking for parts up this area, its in a1 dismantlers @west sleekburn ind est, bedlington.ne22 7lq. another 1 bites the dust ! best wishes, steve.

Sorry it ended like that - I wasn't in a position to take it because we already have three cars and I am under strict orders that I cannot rescue every Volvo that is in peril of death, even though I would love to!
