How do you reset the ECM-2A30 Particulate trap - Blocked error?

It keep coming back
I'm using VIDA

Diagnostic tab, vehicle communication at the end.

Deliver tab bottom right of the programme. Erase All.

That is exactly how I´m doing it. Then I get a pop-up with an information screen about turning it on and off and going to 1500 revs.
I press OK.

And within 3 seconds the error returns, even if the engine isnt running.

I normally use a Delphi diagnostic computer buth bought the VIDA to reset the error. No luck yet.

Is it possible to do a software update that resets the ecm?
Where can I get the software?

Do you carry out the process that the pop-up states to do before pressing OK?


If the fault comes straight back, your DPF maybe blocked or have some kind of issue. You don't mention if you've done any work on it.

Software updates are only available via a paid Vida subscription or Volvo dealership/specialist.

I will try the process of the popup screen.

I had a problem with one of the temperature sensor, ive replaced it.
After I carry out the regen using the Delphi I get very low pressure values 4 hPa.

I will regen using the Delphi and the try the reset.
Hoppefully it works.

The differential pressure sensor is at 14hpa and the error still doesnt reset.

Have you tested the DPF using Vida?

What do you mean? how do you do this?

Do you mean the advanced tab under vehicle communication?

That's right yes. I think the option is in either the CEM or the BCM module on the car diagram.

Nothing under those tabs.
