Volvo On Call
 

Just read about the Volvo on call system....ok so I may be a bit slow on this!! I had heard a long time ago that this was being developed. I essence it would appear to be a most interesting development but is it another case of Big Brother watching ? As I understand things the car wil be constantly monitored by radio controlled by Volvo. How long before respective governments catch onto this and use the technology for toll charging , congestion charging, overstaying your time in a parking bay, speeding etc. Just think of the wonderful scenario where you exceed the speed limit (in the interests of safety while overtaking of course) the system clocks you,books you and deducts the fine automatically through an inline credit card without you lifting a finger !!!!!

There are other possibilities of course. No more affairs...the wife will know where you are!!! No more popping into the pub om the way home, no more excuses to the boss about heavy traffic. The last one is more sinister. In the wrong hands the criminals will know when you are on holiday.
