12V sockets worn

As the title says, the centre console and rear seat 12v sockets are worn (keep popping new adapters out) when trying to use phone to charge or a garmin satnav.
The one in the boot seems fine.
Anyone any experience of repairing or refitting?
Can't afford to take it to Volvo, it's a minor irritation but one none the less, as I do some long trips for work and need my phone charged.....

Adapter too long???

I recently bought an adapter/splitter for my 2004 V70. on ebay It too keeps jumping out of the cigarette lighter socket. Upon further investigation I noticed that the new adapter has a longer "nose" than other single adapters I had used successfully in the past, and this extra length prevented the new adapter from pushing far enough to lock into the cigarette lighter socket.
Perhaps this is your issue too??

Just a thought...

Cheers
Bob

A lot of these ebay cigarette lighter socket plug-ins are not made to tight specs and are either too loose or too tight, too long or too short. It's a bit of a gamble. Bought some that work well and others that have difficulty in holding a connection.
