2005 V70 AWD Nivomat replacement
 

Apologies if this isn't the right sub forum for this, but I'm looking to lower the rear ride height on my '05 V70 D5 AWD. It's got nivomats and at the moment it's sitting with about 4-5 inches between the tyre and the arch at the rear, which just doesn't look good imo. The site says they're compatible with AWD variants but at this point I can't be sure having seen a lot of people say you can't just replace nivomats (I know I need to get springs too). At this point any help would be appreciated, TIA

be carefull with lowering awd check that drive shaft joints can withstand the new angles

I don’t think many will have tried it. The nivomats are very expensive (you could probably sell them).

However the AWD system is even more expensive and if you break it it may write your car off at that age.

I would leave alone myself.
