Distributor modification

I'm still over-the moon with my lpg'd v70 (now on 213k) bit o can't shake the feeling that the timing could better optimised for our favourite cheap fuel. I looked into the Leonardo programmable timing module but can't seem to source one here in the UK.

I know our cars have 'fixed' timing distributors but does anyone know of any ways to modify by any means?

Thanks in advance,

Matt

Sounds a bit risky. In what way do you reckon things could be improved? Is the car showing any signs of not running right?

There's a few things that can be done to improve LPG performance without getting so drastic as to start re-arranging the timing.

Plugs, leads, rotor and dissy if fitted, air filter all need to be spot on, plus then you've probably got scope to re-map the LPG a bit.

Cheers

You can get timing advance processors even for coil on plug applications but with LPG it is hardly worth it. You are only advancing idle and mid RPM a few degrees and the top end RPM stays the same as petrol. The gain is so small it is very rare to see it used.
