Auto gearbox

Long shot but has anyone have an automatic 4 speed gearbox for a 460gl as mine has lost drive and volvo specialist says it needs replacing? Anyone else had this fault?

Best have it overhauled. It's a ZF 22HP 14 from memory and well-established auto tranny companies will be familiar with them
