1996 V90 for sale

I have a 1996 V90 which cannot pass its MOT because of exhaust emissions.
It burns oil which I top up every 2 or 3 weeks.

The MOT expires on 8th May so I intend to drive it until then and have it scrapped.

I was wondering if a member might be interested in buying it if they have the skills to deal with the engine problem.

There are a few other issues. The SRS and ABS warning lights are on and my garage says the steering gator is split. I haven't used the door key button for ages as the alarm kept going off so I just locked the car with the key instead. The tyres are pretty good, one looks new. It has been serviced and maintained by a local garage who will vouch for me.

the V90 has never been in a bump or ever been in a body shop. I does have some scrapes thanks to other considerate drivers.

I have driven this car from new. It was my company car which I later bought from the company. It has done 224400 miles and I have never had a breakdown or mechanical failure. I am gutted to be losing this car but would find consolation if an enthusiast took it on as a project.

I was just .... wondering how many miles you did between oil top-ups?

miles between top ups

I top up the oil usually 500 to 600 miles when the oil level is between markers.. It depends on the type of driving. On long motorway runs it can go much longer. It seems to burn oil mostly when idling or in stop start traffic.

I will try and do some pics in the morning.

Thanks.

I have been trying to upload my pics but got a security token error message. I am trying to resolve it but I am happy to email them if you email me a request. Thanks.
