Can this distributor work?

Can this distributor work on a 69 144s B20B engine.
High Output Bosch Distributor 0 231 146 099

My current dizzy seems to have problems and is not correct. It ends in 086 and no one seems to know what it is for. I cannot get a good consistent spark. Albeit that it could be the coil also. Trying to test it.

Hey American guy,

I've told you already your 086 is a ford pinto one, long time ago ;-)

The 0 231 146 099 is the very best of the original Volvo distributor you will find, matching a B20B perfectly.
