[S60 2005]Rear/Full set of 40mm lowering springs

Hiya all,
Looking for some 40mm Lowering springs for the rear of my S60 D5 2005, i'll happily buy a full set if you are selling both fronts & rears.
I've tried ebay but its so confusing with which listings fit what type of Volvo :/

Will consider coilovers depending on price.
Or if anyone can point me in the direction of new lowering springs which are a guaranteed fit for my S60 & 40mm. Im sure some beer money could find its way over to you.

Please reply to this thread as i'm currently not at 30 posts so cannot reply to any DMs.

Thanks in advance.
Mike

The Parts For Volvo lowering spring kit is made by Lesjofors who are the Manufacturer for Polestar Volvo Springs, they are progressively wound and lowered my S60, which was on factory sport suspension, by an additional 30mm (Measured) and also ride better than the Eibach Pros which I tried before them.

A word of warning though, I very nearly got stuck in a multistory car park, which admittedly had particularly large speed bumps which were also at least a good foot in width. I had to get out and lift the car by the arch whilst my wife creeped over them! It gave everyone a good laugh if nothing else!

Thanks for the reply mate. I don't seem to be able to find any lowering springs by Lesjofors, only OEM replacements?
The only ones that come up are ebay 25/30mm kits but either are AWD only or 2010+ car year.
Would V70 lowering springs fit of the same year? Or are they different.

The ride height on the rear of my S60 has an arch gap of ~70/80mm so going 40mm i dont think ill have issues with speed bumps / car parks etc.

The first line of your reply makes sense now i've seen the link you posted lol. It says they are for petrol models but i guess it wont make much difference? or will the fronts be softer as the petrol engine is lighter then the D5?

These are the closest and cheapest i've came across with the most 'drop' aswell, i just wana say thank you for linking them! PM me your Paypal if you want mate

Do you have any pics of yours before & after?

Cento16v Jan 7th, 2020 13:53

I don't imagine a D5 would be that much heavier than a T5 and mine is an Automatic as well, if yours is a manual the weight difference over the front wheels would probably be quite marginal.

I'll see if I have any pictures I can find!

Thanks for the pics Cento! Them springs do nicely lower the car. It sits nice!

Mine is a D5 Sport, so im going to assume it has the sport suspension you say yours had & id see similar gains as you on the rear axle.
(pic attached of my arch gap)

My front arch gap doesn't sit to far off your 'after' picture on my current suspension.

I think i'm going to bite the bullet on these over the Eibach 30mm springs which i've now found on eBay for a very similar price.

Yeah it's a bit lower than on that picture now its settled, once I've fitted my new wheels I'll take another picture.

I had the Eibachs and they were a bit bouncy and soft, these feel quite a bit more resistant to roll but no worse over bumps.

Miike Jan 7th, 2020 16:06

Yeah id be interested in seeing how it sits with the new wheels, what size are you fitting, 18s?
From your personal experience with both sets of springs, if you was able to get the 30mm Eibach's for £10/20 cheaper then the Lesjofors @ £130 posted, would you?
Thanks again for the help & info mate!
