Xc90 t5
Good evening all,
We are currently in talks around selling our beloved 2015 XC60 D5 R design to buy an XC90, the one I am interested in is the 2019 T5. I was originally thinking of a diesel XC90 but have read about issues with EGR and oil consumption etc. The XC60 has given us completely trouble free motoring for the last 6 years. The D5 truly is a great engine (wish they had put this in the XC90) When it comes to the T5 XC90 do they suffer from any common problems? I can’t seem to find much online re faults or owner long term reviews. Thank you in advance 🙂 |
Had mine 4.5 years and 60 odd thousand miles. Love it. Would buy another if Volvo allowed options to be put on lower spec cars as I like simpler seats and high profile tyres.

My 2019 R-Design T5 has been faultless so far

Like the previous generation (and many SUV's) they are heavy on brakes (pads). Ours was a SELEKT approved used car and we extended the warranty (which proved to be worthwhile, as it's just had a replacement air compressor!). If it was out of warranty this would have cost us circa £1,400 Wouldn't say that the compressor failure is a Volvo specific issue, many cars with air suspension have air bag or compressor issues. |
