Just a thought on this, there is a unit that causes LSLO, low speed lock out, which stops the cruise being used at less than 18 mph or so, (stops lazy gets in traffic jams using it) this is usually linked to the speedo or speed sensor. An old 855 T5 I had started having problems like this but it affected other things as well as the cruise and I traced it to a faulty ignition switch, hope this helps as the only cars I've never (touch wood) really had to fix have been my own since I've had Volvos for a good number of years.

Hmmmm everything else works fine other than the alarm but now I know what's wrong with that (I think) but I wont rule it out though thanks for that

:woot:Well it seems I've done it, I popped a brand new second hand cruise unit in today & so far so good it's worked every time.................I'll give it a day or 2 to be sure but I'm pretty confident:cool:
