Cannot clear VIDA error

Volvo V70 2002 2.4
The engine emissions warning light / check engine light has come on.
I connected it to VIDA ( 1st time using VIDA ) and it says there is some sort of wiring issue with the wing mirrors.
But the wing mirrors work just fine, no issues with them or the doors.

But I cannot get it to clear the error message pernamently.
I tried changing the fuses as suggested by VIDA and eventually managed to clear the warning light on the dashboard for a short while, but it has been showing up as red in VIDA all the time.
What would you suggest to do next?

It’s probably that long term fuel trim that’s showing amber that’s your issue.

Assume you’ve cleared all the codes (bottom of delivery screen) and gone out for a drive to see what returns?

vida can only clear codes that have been fixed,

Time to put down the software and pick up the hardware

The mirror fault can be folding motor, XY axis motor or mirror heater, just like it says.

Check the various components using a multimeter to determine which is faulty, and replace the fault item.

It is a turbo or no turbo car?

Long term fuel trim will most probably be the issue.
Start with possibly the lambda sensor.

I had the emission system service require issue which seems to have cleared after a lambda sensor change.

Thanks for all the suggestions folks and please bear with me as I’m new to spannering.
The car is a 2.4 petrol, normally aspirated with 125,000 miles.

I replaced the fuel filter with an OEM one but still get the same errors.
Although my MPG is much better now!

I cleared all fault codes using the delivery tab, but the engine warning light came on again after a few drives.

I can’t find any fault with the mirrors, as far as I know they aren’t heated and don’t fold on my car.
But the mirror adjustment works fine for both mirrors.

What should I try next?

lambda sensor change ?

I thought all the door mirrors in this model had heating elements in them, they come on when you turn on the rear window demister.

Re the fault codes
It is possible that there is a CEM fault as indicated in the codes you've posted

try here

I can try and remove the mirror and see if it has any heating elements, that’ll tell us for sure if that is fitted.
If it does, I assume I just check that it’s getting 12 volts when the rear defrost is on?

Thanks for the link to the fault code list, but those codes don’t seem to be compatible with the codes I got from VIDA.

I think they are the standard OBD11 codes which are the basic codes - VIDA gives you the specialised Volvo i.e. manufacturer only VIDA codes. However they can help point you in the right direction if you can scrounge an OBD11 scanner.
