Nurburgring 2018
 

Hi all,

Planning my 4 th visit to the hallowed tarmac in 2018 and theres a possibility i may be taking the V50 ...

Anyone else making the trip in 2018?

Previous trips have been in a Clio 182, BMW 330 and Clio 197, so the V50 will be a much more relaxed affair.

yeh am planning to go back again this year. I heard that the germans plan on making their roads toll so will quickly become more expensive. Would like to go again before that happens

I am planning on going 18-20May plus a massive volvo meet (Treffen) in Eindhoven on the 21st.
Planning to hopefully have quite a few volvos there, plus a fleet of Polestars from without Europe.

Will head over at some point this year. If you can take the time off the mid-week openings are brilliant. I went out a couple of times on a Thursday night and it felt like I was the only one on there (bar some guy in a Renault Alpine who kept appearing and getting in my way).

Went last year in Mk7 Golf GTD. Handled well - everything else was pretty disappointing.

A big group go a few times a year from SwedeSportUK (face book), one of the admin helps organise it.

Watching with interest....definitely want to make the trip this year (I said the same in 2017, 2016 & 2015) :thumbs_up:

Wouldn't worry too much about that yet. The Austrians are taking the Germans to the ECJ for unfair tax for their toll plans.. LoL
True! But I believe that the EU is considering charge by Km at a point in future... :(
