Dump valve problem
Right basically the car came with the dump valve in the boot but the guy never had time to fit it and also no blanking plate.
so i decided to have a go but think i have failed badly. Once fitted however without the blanking plate for test purposes i lose all turbo nothing at all? :/ Yes the engine is very tacky only had the car a week though and been pretty ill , but i have alot of plans especially since it only has 60,000 miles on the clock. The turbo is a 19T any help asap is appreciated as i have the bonnet up ready now and still thinking if i missed anything out http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=68c1mh5 http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=4pjdxqh |
with out putting the blanking plate on and with the standard dumpvalve on it wont boost much because the spring in the standard valve will only hold a little boost u need to fit the plate so u only have one dump valve on so it will work i tryed it like u and only got a little boost get the plate on ok mate hope it helps

plate seems a bit of a bugger to get on any ideas? :(

You should still get full boost running a re-circ and a dump valve at the same time as long as they are both piped up.
|
plate is not easy to do, its bloody awkward, 2 tips 10mm ratchet spanner, and a reliable young kid with small arms and hands, thats what i used.

my dump valve worked with the re-circ valve. i have now changed it and fitted the blanking plate. yes it is hard to do

I've heard of one or two people fitting atmospheric BOVs to the ME7 and it works, but for the vast majority, there comes loads of problems. |
