Battery Remote Low Voltage
Hi,
My Wife has a 2006 S40 2.0 Diesel S40 and has just had the following message "Battery Remote Low Voltage". I have searched the site and cannot find any reference to this. Would I be correct in thinking that it is the battery in the key fob or is it the actual car battery? Thanks Colin |
battery
Change the batteries and you'll see :star:
|
I changed mine not long ago and then it happened about 2 months after and turned out that it depends on how strong the signal is as my keys were in my pocket and the receiver didn't pick it up
|
Tis the batteries in the car "remote" central locking bit. As suggested, change them and see the result.

Thanks for the replies. I'll get them changed asap.

Does anyone know when the battery code is? Think I got a duff one as it only lasted 6 months or so and always getting a low volt message now and the other key I've had never gets used but on the odd few times it does there is no message....?
Going to get a new one and see if it carries on? |
I drove more than 2 years long with that message. And I drive a lot! ;)
Just ignored it and they were then changed by my stealership when it was serviced... |
Why is it chucking up this message though?
|
Does anyone know what battery the fob takes please? As I have keyless entry & drive its getting to the point I need the key next to the reciver for it to pick up the key.....

Battery for S40/V50/C30 Fob Remotes is a CR2032.
