Drivers door opens from outside but not from the inside
 

Hi all new on here and really need to pick your brains. I have a 2008 s40 1.8 petrol the drivers door for some reason has stopped opening from the inside but opens with no problem from the outside taken door card off and couldn't see any obvious problems any advice would be welcome as it's beginning to get on my last nerve now having to put the window down everytime I want to get out of my car.

I had this happen on my V40. The culprit was a yellow plastic part around the hinge area of the interior handle. There's a metal rod which goes from the interior handle towards the latch side of the door with the yellow plastic part attaching it to the handle. I would be playing around with that.
