now on my 5th Volvo
all started back in the 80s
with a 360 next came a 480 es then a 480 turbo bought an s40 late last year and added a c30 this week |
I got my first Volvo in 1985; a 360 GLS.
Then a 340 1.7 in 1991, 440 Xi in 1992, V40 1.9Tdi in 1996, V70 2.5D in 2002 XC70 D5 in 2006, XC90 D5 2012 And a V90CC in 2018 My wife is on her second Volvo with a V40 D3, she previously had a S40 a few years ago, while my son had a S40 and now has both a C30 and an XC70. Our friends have accused us of lacking imagination. |

When you find a good thing, you stick with it - I certainly did! Having ‘discovered’ Volvo in 2008, I’ve rarely deviated (below). Collecting longed-for V90CC next week! |
At the risk of being accused of willy waving.
I have been a continuous Volvo owner for 45 years. My father bought me a second hand 145S for my 18 birthday and I have kept with the marque ever since. The second 360 did 270,000mls having bought it as an ex demo. I kept the first V40 for 16 years and covered 370,000mls with only one minor breakdown; I was so pleased with it the only car to replace it was another V40. |

Mind you, it took some finding - D5 Pro with almost every option, ex-Volvo management, barely 1yr old, £24k below list (couldn’t justify new, not even with a generous Affinity discount). Pine Grey / Blonde - nice! |
I’m not brand loyal, but do like Volvo. Here’s mine (volvos only)
