Rear Shock Top

Hi all

Looking for a source of a rear top mount for my shock. I have the load compensating Nivomat shocks, and I've tracked down a clunk I have, to the topmount. I've asked my local dealer about this part, but it seems they want me to buy the whole shock. Is this true, if not does anyone have a part number? Otherwise i'm looking for a source of a good quality shock mount

Thanks

Don't know about the rear top mounts but I changed my front ones for Febi Bilstien ones from my local motor factor, £13 +vat compared to £28+vat for Fo Mo Co ones in a Volvo box.

Paul.

Do make sure its the mount and not the shock tha's clunking. I thought the the clunk on my V70 suspension was the top mounts until I removed the units and found they were completely shot but still passed the MOT bounce test . New units with new mounts transformed the ride and made the whole car feel tight and quiet.

I'm hoping it isn't the rear shocks as they're pretty expensive, and it doesn't drive like it has bad rear shocks. I've had it up on a lift and the top mount on the side that is knocking does have a fair bit of play compared to the other side. I was on to volvo, but they don't seem to have the shocks I have in their system, it's either the standard shock setup, or the active chassis models, which have an extra bit on the shock body, mine has the nivomat shocks, which have a large body at the top and a rubber boot covering the shaft at the bottom, with no extra bit on the body of the shock
