Today I saw an xc40 on the road
 

First time I have seeen one out in the wild, it was white like all the demo one so have seen, near Stockport, so someone got theirs.....

About a month or six weeks ago, I saw 3 in one day but I have not seen any since.
The day I collected my V90, the dealer had just taken delivery of their first demonstrator, so I took it out for a drive: very nice!
We might consider one when my wife’s V40 is ready for changing.

I've only ever seen 2 out in the wild so to speak.

The dealers that I use had one in the showroom when I was getting my XC60.

Seen one at dealers and one at ocean race event but this was the first “in the wild”

Ocean race had the whole family was milling around for 20 minutes trying to get in it while a bloke sat in it pontificated with the rep about how he had ordered one in blue and all the options he had chosen.....while my mate who’s wife was looking to replace her cr-v could not get near the drivers seat!

A couple of weeks ago I parked next to a black one with orange coloured seats in a car park near Birmingham. The owner was just coming back to the car so I waited and chatted to him. It seems he works for Jaguar Land Rover (we were only 3 miles from Solihull) and he was part of the team whose job it is to evaluate the competition! He told me that he really liked the XC40 and that JLR were evaluating it against the RR Evoque. His view was that it was the most serious competitor to the Evoque that he had driven so far.

Seen a few of these on the road here too.

Of the 3 XC cars, they are by far the most head turning. Something about it's design makes it look much larger than it actually is.

I'm not really a fan of jacked up 4x4s, but the XC40's really look smart and especially in that red/maroon colour with the black roof.

I saw a white XC40 in Spain in May, initially I thought it was a new model XC60, it was so "large", however walking around the rear I was surprised to see the XC40 label. Definitely a contender for a replacement to the XC60 when the time to change arrives.
