C30 Tow bar electric 12Volt supply
 

Any idea if there is an easy to get at 12V supply for the electrics, otherwise I might just plug in the cable when needed into the rear ciggy socket!?

Looking at the wiring and using a bypass relay I can't see an issue (I will live with the 'fog lamp' issue!) but not sure why Volvo fitted 21/4W bulbs all over the rear!!??

maybe too bright with 5W?

Anyway I have to agree with Clan about the towbar quality, pays your money etc, I am only towing a 7cwt folding van or the trailer to tip so I don't need the full blown VOLVO version tho the one I bought is 'E' marked by Brink so should be good and the electrics hide away! (£85 from Towequipe). this version is a lot of plates rather than being welded butthey do have a cunning way of getting plate in rear rather than taking ALL trim out, a plate on a stick which you tuck in below the plastic wheel carrier, fiddly but do-able.
