Have seen a few more threads recently about the uneven wear on the inside of tyres, seems to be common.

Ohwell. Getting my new tyres next week. Volvo are recommending the Pirelli Scorpion Zero at an extremly hiked up price compared to blackcircles and thats with out fitting!

But I cant see a reason not to go for the Pirelli Scopion Verde at the lower price, considering they have a better fuel effiency rating.

Anyone got any thoughts on that one? (its not like I'm going to be driving the car through thick snow or mud)

Do you need the XL? i.e. Extra load as this basically means that you have stiffer sidewalks.

Might not help the compliance of the suspension and 20 inch wheels!

Never been a great fan of Pirellis they always seem to epwear out quicker than I hoped. I have Michelin Latitude Sports on mine and and very pleased with the performance and mileage I am getting from them.

Do you really need to go for the 105 load rating, mine are 103?. This only means that you get stiffer sidewalks and might not help suspension and the ride quality.

I buy mine from Camskill who are usually cheaper.

Well to tell the truth they are the Zero are the ones I have on the moment, and that Volvo are recommending, and are saying are the original tyres for the car.

Again though going via blackcircles they put XL against all the tyres available for the XC60.

I'm glad I asked the question now :)

I guess I just dont want another pair of the generic cheapo ones that were put on at the MOT last year and have lasted 11k!

I can recommend Michelin Cross Climates I have them on mine & have lasted 20k miles so far with plenty of life still in them.

Recently got rid of my original Pirelli's after 45k miles and fitted Michelin Sport Contacts - best thing I ever did.

Have a search on this section for 'best SUV tyre' it's discussed.

Ive been very happy with the all year performance of the Pirelli scorp Verde all seasons and would recommend them.
