Jack points for changing wheels?

Where are the jack points necessary for jacking up the vehicle and positioning axle stands before changing the wheels?

I may have just answered my own question here:

You looked in the manual - that's cheating!

What’s a manual?

In answer to your question I would say it is definitely necessary to use the jack points for the jack, but probably unnecessary to use axle stands. Just don't get under the car whilst it is jacked.

Pipps,

If you would rather use a proper trolley jack instead of the Volvo scissor jack then I would highly recommend getting a jack pad to securely locate the jack and protect the bodywork. This eBay seller is recommended as he sorted me out when I needed one for my V90CC. High quality and tailor-made to fit your car rather than being a generic fit.

Thank you everyone for the confirmation and replies.

I will definitely invest in one of those Trolley Jack Pads.

Does anyone have a preferred front central jack point?

Central? As in both front wheels off the ground from one jacking point?

Yes, exactly. It would be very handy for when I am maneuvering onto all four axle stands.
