front windscreen
 

hello everybody.
after my s60 (56plate) engine damage, i looking for replacement.
mazda6 estate or volvo v70, because there are family cars...
thanks to GOV website where we can find all info about MOT history of vehicle, i found this: many v70 and s60 and also v60 have a windscreen damage - cracks but still legal to drive it.

my question, is it failure of design of body/frame/chassis ?
what is the reason of it?
anybody knows?
