Got stuck in a traffic jam on the motorway the other week due to an accident, took an hour to move a couple of miles, we were in the 855 p reg and passed at least four cars that were all newer that had broke down on the hard shoulder,
855 has over 200k on it, |
Where I park at work my car is the oldest in the street, as the closed the car park to add to the building and encourage public transport usage.
Absolutely no use when you finish when trains and buses are tuck up in a depot. My car the only car not to support a line keyed up the length of the car or worse seems 13 near enough 14-year-old Volvos are less appealing to your average bored ned/chav or maybe the secretly respect Volvos. |
My Toyota blew its head gasket this week, so the 740 was hauled out of retirement to drive over to E. Anglia and back. Didn't miss a beat. I was the oldest thing I saw on the motorway - but I spotted an MG TA (or similar) out near Buckingham... :)

I quite often find my 1993 Wentworth is the senior on the road/car park etc however just before Christmas we spotted an austin seven on the m3 (amber light flashing away on its roof)

I have seen a 1920s ? big bentley doing best part of the ton with 5 people on board, all well wrapped up and looking cold.

People laugh at my volvo because it’s old they don’t understand i don’t want a new volvo that’s mainly foreign parts even if i could afford one

I followed a vintage Bentley on the A420 sometime over the Christmas period. He stopped at a big house just outside Oxford. Looked lovely in the winter sunshine.
