Volvo S40 1.8 XS Runs well but spares or repair - no MOT
 

My wife's car, owned for 24 months, MOT recently expired but still drives well.

Started losing PAS fluid in Dec, had it checked & told it needed a replacement PAS rack.

Also that it would need new rear discs/pads, front pads & front anti-rollbar links, so we decided to not to have work done but sell when MOT expired.

Work required is probably easy for a mechanic (or perhaps to buy for parts or as scrap value).

Engine, gearbox & clutch all good; car's still in daily use.

Pics from a few months ago; the car's got dirty again after all the recent snow & rain.

Has alloy wheels, alarm, remote c/l, air-con, 2x tinted e/w, CD stereo & elec ariel; all working.

Had two front tyres fitted in Nov & a new clutch 18 mos ago.

Battery in the car's flat as I've put the old one back in as we'd bought a new battery in November & it's going onto our replacement car due April.

Price? Not expecting £100's - have had a couple of quotes from salvage websites for up to £147 and so somewhere around that price is ok for us.

Would need collecting around Sat 31st March - Mon 2nd April.

Just re-read the above, should have written, "Battery in the car when sold will be flat as it's the old one - keeping the one I bought in November as a spare for our replacement car due April."
