1998 V70 T5 Auto FWD CV joints
 

Hi

On my 1998 V70 T5 Auto fwd, both outer cv boots have split.
One split a few months ago and I put a split boot on, and it has been split again for the last few weeks, and now the other side has gone too.
Over the last few months I have been feeling an occasion "clack" at low speed when turning. Maybe one or more of my CV joints is worn?

he replaces a whole axle (looks used).

If I can get the whole axle out (passenger side initially), how do the CV joints come off the shaft?

I can get the outer joint from J and R for £12.99 including the large nut

but I don't know where to get the inner joint.
Any ideas?

So, I just need to source the inner joints and boots, or whole axles.

It is just a thought, but have you tried phoning J & R, 0121 770 5636.

They may be able to source what you can't find on their website..

Yes I have tried them, but I believe they only do the outer joints for this car.

Not too bad. But I would really like to find the inner joints on their own.
