S60 / V70 / S80 Diesel automatic anyone?
 

My 1997 S90 is a bit too thirsty for the job, so I'm thinking about a diesel automatic for my daily commute, and wondered if anyone has anything they're thinking of selling.

Something from the early 2000's up to say 2006 or 2007 would be perfect, and I really don't mind as to whether it's an S60 or S80 saloon, or a V70 estate. An XC70 or V70 Cross Country might possibly fit the bill too, although the MPG is a critical factor in this.

Either that or a petrol car with an LPG conversion.

Mileage isn't really an issue, what's more important is general condition and a good history.

Longish MOT, generally clean and tidy and not needing any major work, nice leather seats and a clean and tidy interior, working aircon, no hidden surprises - you know the sort of thing.

Cash buyer - unless someone is up for doing a deal on the S90 of course!

I'm based in North Yorkshire, but happy to travel for the right car.

1 previous elderly owner who drove to 63k. Full Mill service history and then maintained by myself now showing 84k. Having just retired myself (65) I now find my license revoked for at least 6 months if not longer due to Traumatic Subdural Haematoma. What’s your budget?

I have a euro 4 S80 (P3 shape) with nearly 105,000 miles that I’m considering selling. Its a 2.4D 163bhp (still a D5 engine, but not the 185bhp version). Its an SE spec, so has pretty much everything you need. The interior is cream & is in really good condition. Exterior colour is black.

Its a very well looked after car. It had full main dealer history up until 2018. I purchased the car in 2019 & have had a local Volvo Specialist give it a service in 2019, as well as replace the timing belt. I also had the rear trailing arm bushes replaced by them. The previous owner had 18” aftermarket alloys on it. I didn’t like them, so I replaced them with 17” Saga alloys (one of the original Volvo options on the car). I had them professionally refurbed & they’re in fantastic condition. Front & rear brake discs & pads have been replaced. Tyres have loads of tread all around. MOT’d until Jan 2021 with no advisories. Air con works, all the electrics etc are in full working order & there’s no unwanted knocks or bangs. I’ve also replaced the auxiliary belt, auxiliary belt tensioner & air con belt with genuine Volvo parts in 2019.

The most recent service (Jan 2020) I did myself. I changed the oil, oil filter, air filter, pollen filter & fuel filter. My local Volvo Specialist changed the transmission fluid in March this year. I’ve had a four wheel alignment done too. I have loads of paperwork for the things I’ve done in my ownership. The service book is fully stamped by Volvo up to 2018, but I haven’t got paperwork for that. It looks like the same garage serviced the car from new up until 2018.

This is a genuine car that has been very well looked after, by the previous owner & myself. As I said, I’m only considering selling. Let me know your budget, as it may be over what you’re willing to spend. If I was to sell, I would like to see it go to a good home. I’m sure you’d look after it. :regular_smile:

Note - I think its the P2 shape that you’re looking for, but mine is a facelift P3 shape on a 2007 plate. I’ve posted just in case you’re considering the newer model, like mine.
