Performance Car Meet. THE UK Performance Monthly Meet
 

The next Crooked Billet meet will be on Sunday 26th March at midday.

The monthly Crooked Billet performance meets have an almost cult following in the UK Volvo performance community. The meets have been steadily (saying that there always have been excellent attendance at the meets that I have organised) gaining popularity over the last few years with some people regularly driving hundreds of miles to attend the meets every month. These social occasions are so successful because of the genuine enthusiasm of old and new members in sharing an interest in the Volvo high performance car, the key success factor of the performance meets is that everybody gets on well with each other in a positive atmosphere where everybody is made very welcome, no matter what type of car that they have or the particular modifications that they have on their car. My definition of Nirvana - a Sunny afternoon at the Crooked Billet talking performance Volvos watching people share their enthusiasm for their cars. If anyone is reading this and wants to sample our hospitality come along to the next meet on Sunday the 26th of February at midday and see what it's all about!

The pub is easy to find. Come off junction one(that's when you're coming from the west - not from central London)(it's the first junction slip road after joining the M40 off the M25) of the M40 keep in the right hand lane of the slip road turning right at the lights at the bottom. Going underneath the motorway make sure that you do not go onto the lane going back west onto the M40! Take the Slough turning which is right at the first roundabout. You will drive down a dual carriageway which then goes into a single lane road about a quarter of a mile later. Keep on going for about a mile going over a small roundabout (you can take a left into Iver here, but then you would be going nowhere near the pub!) You will be in a 40mph area here with a British Legion Club and a church on the l/h side of the road. The next BIG roundabout is where the pub is. You should see the pub accross the roundabout. This roundabout is also the main access to Pinewood Film Studios (if you pass the Pinewood sign you have missed the Pub!). I hope that the directions are clear enough!
