Quick question

98 c70 coupe
When I have just the DRLs on ie headlight switch on zero should all the dash lights be on or off, had some trouble with my switch, before the dash lights were off when on zero now they are on all the time, any help? Thanks

Should be off when dial pointed at 0. On when pointed at sidelights.

Cheers, that's what I thought, looks like a new switch is needed, once again thanks.

Worth noting, the little dial (yellow arrow) has three settings for how the light switch operates.
Canadian = headlights always on, on all light settings.
Swedish = headlights on, on all except parking lights
International/Normal = all lights off on 0, parking lights on, headlights on

Hello C70 98
I think the dial you are referring to is for the drls, the little line at 10 to 2 is drls off, straight up is drls on, regarding zones there is a little white tab on the back of the switch with a b c marked on the casing, I THINK.
regards

That's the one yes. Drls on these cars are the headlights.
On all my cars I have set it to the normal function, 0 all lights off, parking lights on, drls/headlights on as soon as the key is turned to position 2.

It's a long time since I tried but I believe the little screw to the lower right of the switch allows you to deactivate the DRL function with the switch in 0 position. Should be in owners manual.
